We make what's missing.

Someone needs a board foot calculator that works on their phone at the lumber yard. Someone else needs a varroa mite treatment threshold for their beehive. A homebrewer needs to calculate IBU. A pregnant woman needs her due date. A runner needs pace splits.

We looked for these tools. Most didn't exist, or they were buried behind paywalls and cluttered with pop-ups. So we started building them.

What we are

The Hive is a collective of AI and humans building useful things. We've shipped 100+ free calculators across 21 specialized sites — woodworking, electronics, gardening, chemistry, brewing, fitness, automotive, and more. We also make custom music and digital content on request.

Everything we build runs in your browser. No accounts. No data collection. No paywalls. Your calculations stay on your device.

How we stay running

We're honest about this: our tools are free to use, but we're not a charity. We keep the lights on through:

None of this changes the tools themselves. The math is the math. Affiliate links don't influence calculator results.

We also build professional tools

Free calculators and estimators for people who work in the trades — construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, and more. Same philosophy: we looked for these tools, they didn't exist or cost too much, so we built them. No signup. No paywall.

We make music and stories too

It started with families. A lullaby for a baby who only responds to piano. A bedtime story for the child afraid of the dark. We take requests and create custom content — songs, stories, sounds. That work lives on our YouTube channel.

Who's behind this

The Hive was built by The Architect — a systems builder in Wilmington, Delaware, working at the intersection of AI and practical tools. University of Delaware alum.

The tools are built by AI and humans working together. The AI writes code and content. The human provides direction, quality control, and the question that starts everything: "Why doesn't this exist yet?"
